The reason I started this web site culminated from research I did on wholesale novelties. I landed on a wholesale candy retailer and began browsing the site and quickly realized I was on to something. My immediate excitement was marked with outbursts like “I remember that!†“I haven’t seen those in years!†My kids heard my exuberance and had to see for them selves. I told them that’s the candy I ate as a kid. The sight of all the colorful wrappers rushed a flood of childhood memories and instantly transported me back to the 70’s. I had to call my best friend Pam, who I call whenever inspiration or perceived emotional disaster strike. The conversation quickly took on a life of its own.â€I asked her, do you remember Zots? “She responded OMG! I used to love those! Then she asked, do you remember Ice cubes? I said those small square chocolates in the metallic wrappers? Well the trip down memory lane lasted for nearly two hours. When we hung up I felt so uplifted I had to call my mom and sister and I had the same results. My Moms favorite was Rocky Road candy bars and my sister Colleen’s was Peanut butter bars.( that’s the little penny candy in the clear wrappers with the black stripes.) While all the conversations began about retro candy, everyone one of them branched off to many other topics about the decade. The music, the movies, the fads, and the fashions. That’s when I new I had to build this affiliate web-site. In the future I will be expanding the topic base to include all the things that made the 70’s special. So I hope you come back and visit. In the mean time go and call all the people you love and don’t forget to ask them what candy they ate as a kid!
